Guilin Tour for Seniors

Upon your arrival at Guilin airport or rail station, you will be greeted by your private tour guide holding a sign with your name at the exit. Later enjoy a private transfer to hotel. Check in hotel and enjoy the leisure time in hotel or take a walk around the central lakes or pedestrian street.

In the morning, about 8.30 (confirm with your guide), your family will be picked up from hotel after breakfast and drive about 40 minutes to Pier and board the Li River cruise ship. Enjoy the Li River Cruise (Upper deck on 4 star ship) downstream to Yangshuo with buffet lunch included. With its breathtaking scenery and taste of a life far removed from the concrete metropolis, the scenery along the river become one of China's top tourist destinations. The cruise takes about 3-4hours depending on the water level. After reach Yangshuo, have a visit to the West Street, which is a street with a history of over 2000 years. It is very popular among international travelers and local Westerners. Take your time at the street, savoring local culture, bars and etc. Later have a leisure walk along Yulong River (2-2.5hrs) in Yangshuo countryside. Go and find the charming of Yangshuo countryside.

Today we are going to visit Daxu Ancient Town. First built in 200AD, Daxu remained a prosperous trading center for more than 900 years until the 20th century. Located on the Li River, it was crisscrossed with many Salt Trade Routes going from the sea to the hinterland. The well kept black flagstones are lined up with old wood & brick houses. Bamboo products workshop, herbal doctors’ clinic, barber shops all reminds people of the good old times of prosperity. Do a home visit to a local family to see what kind of life they are living there. 

At an appropriate time, transfer to airport or rail station for a flight or train back to your next destination.
