Guilin Photo Tour

Early in the morning, take awesome photos of sunrise at View Point 2 when the mist is gradually evaporated by the morning sun. Later we see how the local Yao ladies prepare their unique hairdo. In their colorful traditional costumes, and with unusual long hair, the ladies look beautiful and exotic. Then have breakfast. Explore Ping’an Village on your own to find out more photo chances. In the afternoon, you will have a chance to visit a local farmer’s house, and record their lifestyle with your camera. Overnight at Ping’an Village.

Free morning for you to explore more photo opportunities of local customs and the bygone life, then walk down the mountain. Continue the trip driving to the Five Finger Hill at Cuiping, where you will see a perfect combination of Karst limestone hill, farm houses and rice fields, a great place to see sunset and for incredible photo shooting. Transfer to the hotel at the foot of Xianggong Hill. Overnight at a local hotel.

Early morning walk up to the top of Xianggong Hill to have a panoramic view of Li River at sunrise, a wonderful spot for photo-taking. After a quick breakfast, drive 1 hour to Yangdi to board the bamboo raft (4 persons share one raft) to cruise down Li River before 10 am. Disembark at Xingping. After lunch, have a rest. In the afternoon, a free stroll at the 1700-year-old town and ancient street to take photos. At the sunset, take the photos of the local fisherman and cormorants with the stunning landscape of Xingping. Overnight at the hotel in Xingping.

Get up early in the morning, and cross Li River to a perfect spot and shoot the great view of stunning scenery, fisherman and cormorant. After breakfast, drive to Yangshuo. Check into the hotel and rest. At around 3-4pm, go out to Yulong River area and take the bamboo raft down the river. Take the picture of the stunning landscape at sunset. Overnight at Yangshuo.

Get up early in the morning, and drive to Yangshuo Bridge and take the photos of the sunrise. Free afternoon. You can stroll at Yangshuo town for more picture opportunities. Reward yourself a great light show at night, which is directed by the most famous movie director in China - Zhan Yimou. He was also the director of the opening ceremony of Olympic Games 2008. Overnight at Yangshuo.

Meal: B

Drive to 1800-year-old Daxu old town in the morning and pay a visit to a local people’s home. If you are lucky, you may have a chance to see the traditional distillery to make local liquor. Then transfer to Guilin for hotel check-in. If time and weather permits, go to take the photos of the sunset at Pagoda Hill in the late afternoon, and then go to shoot the night view of Sun and Moon Pagodas at city downtown. Overnight in Guilin.

Transfer to the airport or train station to head for your next destination. End of your 8 days Guilin photography tour.
