China is known as the kite capital of the world as people consider Weifang to be the birthplace of kites. Every year on April 20 to 25, the Weifang International Kite Festival is held in Weifang. Weifang is also a historical city in east Shangdong province. Woodcut Painting, one of traditional Chinese folk arts, is another highlight of Weifang. Take the 2-day Weifang tour to view the famous kite museum, Ziyi Garden and Yangjiabu Folk Village.

Day 1 Arrival in Weifang

Arrive in Weifang via either flight or train, be met and transferred to the hotel. In the afternoon, visit  Yangjiabu Folk Culture Village, which is famous for Woodcut Paintings. It has been one of the three leading Chinese folk woodcut producers ever since ancient times.The other two are Yangliuqing in Tianjin and Taohuawu in Suzhou. View the process of this traditonal fold art, and you will have chance to try. Have dinner in local restaurant to enjoy authentic Shandong Cuisine, one of the 8 Great Cuisines of China.

Day 2 Visit Kite Museum, ancient Shihu Garden, Yangjiabu Folk Culture Village

Visit the famous Weifang World Kite Museum, which was opened in 1989 and now has twelve galleries with models and kites from China's ancient past to modern times and kites from around the world. Learn how to make a Chinese Kite. If weather permits, you can buy a kite to play at Renmin Square or wetland park. Later, take a walk in Ziyi Garden, a traditional Chinese garden first built in Qing Dynasty. Then transfer to the train station or airport to head for your next destination.
