Day 1 Arrival in Kunming

Landing at Kunming International Airport, you will be met and transferred to the hotel.

Day 2 Visit Stone Forest, a minority village, Green Lake

Make an excursion to the Stone Forest, a typical formation of Karst topography-- the most famous tourist attraction in Kunming. Then pay a visit to a minority village on the way to experience people’s life and customs. Later, have a stroll around Green Lake.

Day 3 Explore Pudacuo National Park, Nixi Pottery Village, Zhongdian Old Town, etc.

Make your own way to airport for flight to Shangri-la. Upon arrival, drive to explore Pudacuo National Park, notable as the first national park in China to meet International Union for Conservation of Nature standards. It incorporates the Bita Lake Nature Reserve and the Duhu Scenic Area in the Hongshan region. Then pay a visit to Nixi Pottery Village, a small Tibetan village nestling along the popular adventure route from Shangri-la to Deqin in Northwest Yunnan. Proceed to Zhongdian Old Town, it brims over with Tibetan cultural facts such as Buddhist paintings and Tibetan residences side by side. At last, go to Songzanlin Monastery. Covering an area of 33 hectares (82 acres), it is the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Yunnan province.

Day 4 Transfer to Lijiang by private car

Morning free at leisure. Transfer to Lijiang by private car in the afternoon.

Day 5 Explore Lijiang Ancient Town, Black Dragon Pool Park, Dongba Museum

Spend the whole morning exploring the famous Lijiang Ancient Town, originally called Dayan, it is a very well preserved old town built by Naxi people with unique cultural background. It was listed as the World Cultural Heritage Sites in 1997.Then go to Black Dragon Pool Park, to enjoy the stunning view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from it. Later, proceed to Dongba Museum, which has more than 10000 Dongba cultural relics and various other historical relics and offers the "Dongba Culture Exhibition". At last, pay a visit to Shuhe Town ti see local people’s life there.

Day 6 Visit Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Baisha Mural

Drive to see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, the holy mountain of local Naxi People and the soul of Lijiang, it is where you'll take a cable car to its picturesque Spruce Meadow (including eco-friendly bus). On the way back to Lijiang, pay a visit to the Baisha Mural. It was painted in Baisha Town in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), an interesting co-existence of Buddhism, Taoism and Lamaism in the artworks.

Day 7 Visit Jinsha Site Museum, wander around Jinli Old Street

Fly to Chengdu. Be met and transferred to the hotel, then visit Jinsha Site Museum, which was regarded as the most significant archaeological discovery in the 21st century in China. Later, wander around Jinli Old Street to have fun.

Day 8 Visit Panda Breeding Center

Go to the Panda Breeding Center to see the lovely creatures. This huge institution replicates the natural habitat of the giant panda and is dedicated to preserving and increasing their population so they will not be extinct. Then proceed to the airport and fly to Xian. Transfer to your hotel.

Day 9 Explore the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum

Explore the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, one of the most important archaeological finds in the 20th century: an army of terra-cotta warriors and the bronze chariots entombed in vast underground vaults at emperor Qin's tomb since 2200 year ago. Then proceed to visit Small Wild Goose Pagoda which has a brick frame built around a hollow interior, and its square base and shape reflect the building style of other pagodas from the era of Tang Dynasty.

Day 10 Visit Shaanxi History Museum, Grand Mosque and Muslim Quarters

In the morning, pay a visit to Shaanxi History Museum, One of the major museums in China boasting a large collection of unearthed cultural relics of China. Then go to Grand Mosque and Muslim Quarters to get close to the local people’s life and see the special architecture styles there. Drive to the airport and fly to Beijing. Transfer to your hotel.

Day 11 Visit Temple of Heaven, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City

Private escorted tour to China's existing largest structure for sacrifice to heaven, Temple of Heaven. It was used to hold a memorial ceremony for the God in Winter Solstice Festival and to pray for harvest in the first month of the lunar year by the emperors in Ming and Qing dynasties. Then go to Tiananmen Square, which is the largest city square in the world. Later, pay a visit to the Forbidden City, nominated as World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 1987, is the largest ancient palatial structure in the world and the best-preserved imperial palace in China.

Day 12 Visit Mutianyu Great Wall, Hutong

Today's excursion takes you to Mutianyu Great Wall, a less visited and more original part of the Great Wall. It is situated where vegetation is luxurious and over 90 percent of the land is covered with grass, forests and fruit trees.Then enjoy Hutong tour by 3-wheel rickshaw and stroll at Houhai area for leisure. The square layout of Hutong not only influences Beijinger's way of living, but also affects their thoughts and actions.

Day 13 Visit Summer Palace, Yonghe Lama Temple

2 highlights of today: visit the Summer Palace (including a short cruise on Kunming Lake), which is the largest and best-preserved royal garden in China with a history of over 800 years. Then pay a visit to Yonghe Lama Temple: originally it was a prince mansion of Qing Dynasty , later changed to the head office of Lama administration. Later, head for the airport and fly to Shanghai. Transfer to your hotel.

Day 14 Visit Yu Garden, Buddha Temple, Oriental Pearl Tower, the Bund

4 highlights of today: pay a visit to Yu Garden, it used to be a private garden with 400 years' history and features traditional architectural style of Yangtze Delta. Then go to Jade Buddha Temple, which is the most popular Buddhist temple in Shanghai boasting 2 precious jade Buddha sculptures from Burma. Later. Proceed to Oriental Pearl Tower, the best viewing spot of Shanghai located by the Huangpu River with the height of 468 meters. At last, stroll at the Bund, Shanghai's famous waterfront to see new-erect modern skyscrapers and aged buildings of the colonial period.

Day 15 Visit Zhujiajiao

Drive to Zhujiajiao, and witness the traditional lifestyle of Yangtze Delta. Zhujiajiao used to be a trading area due to its strategic location connecting many canals. Later, transfer back to Shanghai and enjoy a free afternoon for your own exploration.
