You’ll spot detailed LEGO models everywhere, and there are lively shows with bands and dancers during opening and closing time. You might also run into LEGO characters like Mike and Amy. By the way, don't miss the Big Shop for souvenirs or the Minifigure Market to build your own little LEGO figure.
LEGO Monkie Kid Zone
This world-first themed area is inspired by the Chinese classic Journey to the West. Don’t miss Flower Fruit Mountain Adventure, where you ride a boat through the mountain before a big splashy drop. For more thrills, try the Cloud Racer coaster and help Monkie Kid escape the Smoke Monster.
LEGO Creative World
In this part of LEGOLAND Shanghai, the giant 26-meter LEGO minifigure “Dada” is impossible to miss. The LEGO Big Coaster races through piles of oversized bricks for a quick thrill. For something calmer, ride the LEGOLAND Observation Tower for park views or take the LEGOLAND Boat Ride past a LEGO-built Chinese water town.
Besides, it is packed with LEGO builds of China’s iconic landmarks, historic sites, and natural wonders from Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing, Suzhou, and more.

There’s also Fun Harbor, Police Headquarters, and interactive city games where kids can complete challenges and win small prizes.
LEGO Castle
Entering here, you’ll feel like stepping into a fantasy adventure. Thrill seekers should try the LEGOLAND Shanghai Dragon Coaster, the longest LEGO-themed coaster in Asia, while younger kids can start their first coaster ride on the gentler Dragon’s Apprentice. Around the castle, you can build at the Builders Guild, dress up at the Royal Wardrobe, and take photos with the king or knights.

If you prefer LEGOLAND Shanghai rides, this is the best zone for you. The big highlight is LEGO NINJAGO The Ride, a 4D experience where you use hand movements to battle villains on screen. For more thrills, try Jay’s Gravity Force Trainer or Kai’s Sky Master. There’s also the Spinjitzu Training Dojo to climb and slide, plus a DUPLO play area for little ones.
Bricktopia
This colorful spot, where creativity really takes over, is indeed a highlight of your Shanghai tour to LEGOLAND. Kids can hop on the Brick Party carousel or ride the DUPLO Express for a relaxed tour around the area. There are playful zones like Step Beats and Bricktopia Games where little builders can let their imagination run wild.
LEGO Friends
If you love water rides, the LEGO Friends zone in the LEGOLAND in Shanghai is the place to be. You can hop on a jet ski-style ride and race across the water, splash around at the beach party area, or even join a friendly LEGO boat-building challenge. There are swings where you can relax and take in the park views, plus a creative workshop where you can design your own colorful LEGO pixel art.

Visiting LEGOLAND Shanghai Miniland feels like stepping inside a giant real-life version of that LEGO Architecture Shanghai set.
This mini Shanghai, often seen in photos of Shanghai LEGOLAND Discovery Center, is built with more than 20 million LEGO pieces. Landmarks like the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the Bund, and the glowing Lujiazui skyline are recreated brick by brick in this Shanghai LEGO set.
