6 Days Highlights of Chengdu & Chongqing Tour for Muslims by AirAsia

Landing at the Tianfu International Airport of Chengdu by AirAsia (1800/2240), you will be picked up at the exit of Arrival Hall by the driver of Easy Tour China, transfer to the hotel for a good rest. Chengdu is the capital city of Sichuan Province, as well as a political and economic center in West China.

Meals: no meal

After breakfast in the hotel, start your Chengdu panda tour. Drive to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding (Chengdu Panda Base) escorted by your English speaking guide. As the giant pandas' hometown, Chengdu is one of the best places to see these lovely creatures. In the afternoon, go and visit the Jinsha Site Museum, where you will obtain some knowledge of ancient Shu Kingdom 3000 years ago. 

Then proceed to Chunxi Road, a famous shopping area in Chengdu. For panda lovers, you can go to the Panda Post Office to get some souvenirs. Then you can also stroll at Taikoo Li to take some nice photos, where is an open, low-density urban complex with a number of fancy boutique shops and high-end restaurants. After dinner, transfer back to the hotel for rest.

After breakfast, transfer to board the bullet train to Chongqing (2.5 hrs). Upon arrival, your guide will pick you up and transfer to have Halal lunch. Next go to Chongqing Mosque to pray. Then proceed to shopping area of Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street for your own exploration. After dinner, drive to see the spectacular night view at Hongya Cave.

After breakfast, head for Eling Park to have the best panoramic view of the city, then you can try the longest escalator in China nearby – Crown Grand Escalator (Huangguan Escalator), which is so long and steep that it is definitely not for the faint-hearted. Then you will see the amazing site – Liziba, where the light rail train can go into a big building constructed on the sheer mountain slope. 

After lunch, drive to Ciqikou old town, it literally means ‘porcelain port’, which has a long history of more than 1000 years. You can stroll along the ancient street to see all kinds of souvenirs and snacks. After dinner, return to the hotel

After breakfast, transfer to the train station and head for Chengdu. Be picked up upon arrival and transfer to have lunch. Then go to Huangcheng Mosque to pray. It is the largest mosque in Sichuan Province first built in 1666. Later go to Jinli Old Street to wander around, taste the local snacks, and experience the unique vibe of old Chengdu. After dinner, enjoy Sichuan Opera Show in Shufeng Yayun Theatre (Optional). Transfer back to the hotel for rest.

After breakfast, go to Chengdu People’s Park, where you will see the daily life of locals. Many retired people are enjoying their leisure time, drinking tea, singing & dancing, playing Mahjong, etc. You can even visit a Matchmaking Corner here to learn one aspect of marriage in China's metropolises - the information of many single men and women are published by their parents in public in aim of finding an ideal partner for marriage. Transfer to the airport to take your AirAsia flight to your sweet home (1455/1945). End of your 7 days Chengdu Chongqing tour package.
