Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive at Congjiang, transfer to Zhaoxing Dong Village
Day 2 Explore from Zhangxing to Tang’an Dong Village
With a history of over 850 years, Zhaoxing is considered the most important Dong Village in China. Enjoy a nice walk through the village with your local tour guide, exploring the 5 Drum Tower, 3 Wind and Rain Bridges, visiting the local market and tasting specialty foods and snacks. Later today, drive to Tang’an Dong Village, the most primitive Dong village in China. With an excellent natural ecological environment, you can discover traditional Dong dwellings, bridges, old water well, ancient tombs, terraced fields, etc. If you like, hike from Tang’an Village to Zhaoxing to explore more Dong villages, terraced fields. Overnight in Zhaoxing.

Day 3 Visit Basha Miao Village, Zhaoxing Departure
This morning, we will transfer to explore Basha Miao Village. Hidden in the dense bamboo forest, Basha is known as “the last gunman tribe under the sun”. Legend goes that the ancestors of Basha residents settled and built the village over 2,000 years ago. Today, Basha residents are still live like their ancestors. The old customs such as wearing musket, having haircut with sickle and worshiping ancient trees are still kept. If luckily, you will see local men with unique hairstyle and wathch their hair shaving with sickle.
After the visiting, transfer to Congjiang rail station and head to your next destination.
