Day 1 Shanghai Arrival and City Highlights Tour

Upon your arrival at the port of Shanghai, you will be greeted by your private Shanghai tour guide holding a sign with your name at the exit. There are two cruise ports in Shanghai, so accurate information regarding the name of your cruise, the port you will stop, the date of arrival is very important. With the window view, you will be transferred to the hotel booked in prior.

After a short rest in hotel (early check-in is subject to room availability), with accompany of your private guide, you will begin a essential Shanghai city tour. At first, you will visit Yu Garden, the best classic garden in Shanghai that should not be missed. Later go forward to visit French concession and Xintiandi, to travel back to the old times of Shanghai. Wander along the Bund to see the “museum of architecture” before transfer back hotel.

Day 2 Shanghai to Suzhou and Tongli Water Town tour

No doubt, Suzhou is a beautiful and more introverted neighbor of Shanghai. This morning, with the escort of your guide, head off to Suzhou by a driving around 2hrs. The first stop in Suzhou is the Master of the Nets Garden, which is the smallest classic garden in Suzhou, but shows the designer’s talent in using of space. The second stop is Panmen Gate, a part of the ancient wall of Suzhou. You will see land gates and water gates in this area. The third stop is the Suzhou part of Grand Canal, the oldest canal in the world. This will give you a chance to get close to local people’s leisure life. Drive around 30 minutes, you will reach a historic water town - Tongli. Stone bridges and well preserved houses here show you a different face of China. Sailing down a small river by a small boat is a nice way to see the unique water town. Return Shanghai after the slow pace visit in Tongli.
