A family of 4 from Netherland had a great trip to Wuyishan in early May, 2012

The welcoming at the trainstation was very nice. The guide Cindy and her assistant were great, as was the vehicle and the driver. All the things we did very nice and also very good to do for the kids. We had good weather so we were very lucky. CIndy gave us a presentation about the Chinese manner of drinking tea.
We had our diners on the street, close to the hotel what was very delicious. The train (softsleeper) was great.
The minor thing was the hotel. The breakfast was only chinese. An advice is to have some bread (toast), jam/mar,elade, butter and orange juice as breakfast. We sold it ourselves at the bakery.
The 3 days tour was more than great, but I think it was too expensive for Chinese standards.
